Open Position: General Labor/Pipelayer

General Labor – Job Description/Duties

  • Responsible for assisting in completion of projects while following all company and safety policies.
  • Responsible for setting stringline, stringing pipe, grouting manholes, and tarring products as needed.
  • Continuous monitoring of job site to maintain a safe work area by following OSHA safety protocol for employees inside and outside trenches including the surrounding area.
  • Maintain communication with all crew members and foreman for proper installation of product, as well as, the safety of others.
  • Ability to understand and read grade stakes.
  • Ability to anticipate project needs and place material and/or tools appropriately to keep crew moving without delay.
  • Ability to prepare tools, as well as, safely and efficiently use tools necessary such as lasers, locators, shovel, forms, ladders, saws, hammers, etc.
  • Responsible for care of job site tools, as well as, putting tools and supplies away at the end of the work day.
  • Ability to follow instructions and retain prior learning.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Must be available to work Monday thru Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday’s 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional after hours required for water main breaks, snow removal or other utility emergencies.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and transportation to/from jobsites.
  • Must be able to lift +/-50 lbs to/from ground level to truck level.
  • Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb in and out of trench repeatedly.
  • Ability to rotate upper body/head to check surroundings.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Must be able to read and speak English.

General Labor Application

Open Position: Drivers: Class A CDL

Heavy Equipment & Material Hauler/Lowboy or Boom Truck Driver

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of construction equipment & material to/from job sites. This position requires a Class A CDL along with an excellent driving record and DOT medical health card.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2 years of truck driving experience loading, unloading and transporting heavy equipment & materials
  • Must be knowledgable of Federal and State DOT laws and oversize/overweight laws
  • Must meet physical requirements for the job including the ability to maintain a DOT medical card
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing at least 50 pounds repeatedly

  • Must observe and practice all safety standards and policies of the company

  • Must maintain a clean driving record, Class A CDL with DOT medical card and other required documentation

  • Will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and proven knowledge of truck and trailer

Job Responsibilities

  • Must be able to properly load/unload equipment from trailer including the ability to tarp, chain, and strap your own load
  • Properly maintains and utilizes company vehicle and operates in compliance with DMV regulations

Precast Labor – Job Description/Duties

  • Responsible for following all company and safety policies for the general safety of all employees.
  • Assist in pouring concrete, setting concrete forms, cutting or setting rebar and other materials as needed.
  • Assist in placing tarps and other curing materials on precast products as needed.
  • Apply form grease to concrete forms and maintain other equipment as needed.
  • Continuous monitoring of job site to maintain a safe work area by following OSHA safety protocol.
  • Maintain communication with all crew members and foreman for proper production of products as well as the safety of others.
  • Attach cables and other rigging devices to transport precast products safely.
  • Anticipate project needs and place material and/or tools appropriately to keep crew moving without delay.
